Who can take part

  • You must be 18 years or older.
  • You have had surgery to remove your parathyroid glands because of high calcium levels caused by long-term kidney failure.
  • You did not have a kidney transplant during the time of the study.
  • Your parathyroid hormone level one week after surgery was 300 pg/mL or lower.
  • You completed a quality of life questionnaire after your surgery.
