Who can take part

  • You must have extensive stage small cell lung cancer (meaning the cancer has spread beyond the lung where it started).
  • You must not have had any previous treatment for your lung cancer.
  • You must be able to care for yourself (ECOG score 0 or 1).
  • You must have at least one tumor that can be measured on a scan.
  • You must not have active or symptomatic brain metastases, or a history of lung inflammation that required steroids.
