Who can take part

  • You are pregnant and at least 18 years old
  • Either you have been diagnosed with gestational diabetes, had diabetes before pregnancy, or are at high risk (for example, had GDM before, had a large baby, or have certain health conditions)
  • You agree to come back for blood sugar tests after giving birth, starting at 6 weeks and then once a year for at least 3 years
  • You are not currently using illegal drugs or abusing substances
