Can a probiotic prevent polyp regrowth after colonoscopy?

Who can take part

  • You are between 18 and 75 years old.
  • You had a colonoscopy that removed all visible colon polyps (adenomas), confirmed by lab results.
  • The bowel preparation for your colonoscopy was good (Boston score 7 or more).
  • You can take medication by mouth.
  • You have not taken probiotics, prebiotics, or antibiotics in the last 2 weeks.
  • You are not taking high-dose aspirin (100 mg or more daily for over 3 months) or calcium supplements (1200 mg or more daily for over 3 months).
