Who can take part

  • You are between 18 and 80 years old.
  • You had a colonoscopy where at least one polyp (adenoma) was removed.
  • You eat a typical Western diet (meat, dairy, processed foods).
  • Your weight has been stable (no gain or loss of more than 4%) in the last 3 months.
  • You are not taking antibiotics, probiotics, or regular aspirin, and you don't follow a strict diet like vegan or keto.

Herbal Medicine to Prevent Colorectal Polyp Return

This trial tests a Traditional Chinese Medicine herbal formula (Jianpi Lishi Jiedu Granules) to see if it can prevent colorectal advanced adenomas (a precancerous polyp) from coming back after they have been removed during a colonoscopy. It is recruiting people who have had such a polyp removed and whose body has a specific TCM pattern ('Spleen Deficiency and Dampness Toxin').
