Who can take part

  • You are 18 or older.
  • You have been diagnosed with hepatocellular carcinoma (a type of liver cancer).
  • You are eligible for surgery to remove the tumor or a liver transplant.
  • You had a CT or MRI scan within one month before your surgery.
  • The tumor has not spread to major blood vessels, bile ducts, or other parts of the body.
  • You have not had any prior cancer treatment for this liver tumor.
