Who can take part

  • You are 18 years or older.
  • You have a malignant liver tumor or another abdominal tumor (like pancreatic or retroperitoneal cancer) that cannot be removed by surgery.
  • Your tumor is between 3 and 10 cm in size and causes symptoms like pain or discomfort.
  • You are in good physical condition (able to care for yourself and up and about more than 50% of the time).
  • Your liver and kidney function are adequate, and your blood clotting is normal.
  • Your tumor is within 14 cm from the skin surface and can be clearly seen on ultrasound.
