Who can take part

  • You must be between 18 and 40 years old.
  • The tooth must be a back tooth (molar) with a deep cavity that has not reached the nerve.
  • You should have quick, occasional tooth pain to hot/cold (reversible pulpitis), not constant pain.
  • Your tooth must respond normally to a nerve test.
  • You must not have gum disease, infection at the root tip, or other serious tooth problems.
  • You must be in good general health (no serious physical or mental conditions).
