- You are between 18 and 40 years old.
- You have a deep cavity in a back tooth that reaches into the inner two-thirds of the tooth.
- Your tooth reacts to cold (the nerve is still alive) and has no signs of infection like swelling or a pimple on the gum.
- You are in good health with no major medical conditions (ASA 1).
- You are not pregnant, a smoker, or taking antibiotics or painkillers just before treatment.
- Your tooth is not loose, has no advanced gum disease, and can be restored with a direct filling.
