Sound treatment for chronic tinnitus

This study tests whether a special sound-based treatment can help people with chronic tinnitus (ringing in the ears). If your tinnitus has lasted more than six months and you don't have other ear or brain problems, you may be able to join.

Who can take part

  • You have had constant ringing in one or both ears for more than six months (with or without hearing loss).
  • You do not have other ear diseases like a perforated eardrum, ear infections, or Meniere's disease.
  • You have not had a head injury, brain condition, or taken medications that can damage hearing.
  • You have not taken any tinnitus medication or traditional Chinese medicine in the last 3 months.
  • You are awake, alert, and able to answer the doctor's questions clearly.
