Who can take part

  • Your child has a permanent back tooth (molar) with a cavity on two or more surfaces.
  • That tooth has not developed properly (developmental defect).
  • The tooth does not hurt or show signs of nerve damage (like pain to hot/cold or swelling).
  • Your child has no allergy to nickel (which is in some dental materials).
  • The tooth has a healthy root and bone around it on X-rays.
