Who can take part

  • You have esophageal squamous cell cancer confirmed by biopsy.
  • The main tumor is in the chest and can be removed with surgery (stage cT1b-T3N1-3M0 or cT3N0M0).
  • You are between 18 and 75 years old and in fairly good health (ECOG 0-1).
  • Your major organs (blood, lungs, liver, kidneys, heart) work normally.
  • You are willing to have surgery and can give informed consent.
