Who can take part

  • You must be 18 years or older.
  • You must have been diagnosed with PKU (phenylketonuria) through newborn screening or later in life.
  • You must have had genetic testing to confirm your PKU type.
  • You cannot be pregnant or have irregular periods.
  • You cannot have had recent weight loss or a serious illness in the past 6 months.
  • You cannot have claustrophobia or a pacemaker or other implanted electronic device.
