Who can take part

  • Your baby has a brain bleed, lack of oxygen, severe jaundice, infection, or other serious condition listed.
  • Your baby needs extra oxygen or a breathing machine.
  • Your baby was born early (before 37 weeks), weighed less than 3.3 pounds at birth, had a very low Apgar score (less than 3 at 5 minutes), or is a twin or triplet.
  • Your baby does not have a major birth defect (like spina bifida) or a genetic condition (like Down syndrome).
