Who can take part
- You have bladder cancer that has not spread outside the bladder (stage cT2, cT3, or cT4).
- You are scheduled to receive cisplatin-based chemotherapy followed by surgery to remove the bladder.
- You are willing to have three MRI scans: one before chemo starts, one 24 hours after the first chemo dose, and one after chemo is complete.
- You have not had radiation therapy to the pelvic area.
- You have no severe kidney problems.
- You have not had any open or laparoscopic surgery in the pelvic area before.
- Cancer has not spread to other parts of the body (no distant metastases).
- You can safely have an MRI (no metal implants or other contraindications).
- You are able to receive cisplatin chemotherapy.
