Who can take part

  • You are 18 years old or older.
  • You tested positive for CMV IgG before your transplant (meaning you've been exposed to CMV in the past).
  • You received a specific type of anti-rejection induction therapy called thymoglobulin (between 1 and 5 doses).
  • You are willing to sign a consent form agreeing to join the study.
  • You are not infected with HIV.
  • You did not receive a different induction therapy called basiliximab, and you are not expected to need complex vascular surgery or have polycystic kidney disease.
