Who can take part

  • You are between 18 and 65 years old.
  • You are having lumbar disc surgery at the L4-L5 or L5-S1 levels.
  • You are able to start physical therapy the day after surgery.
  • You do not have epilepsy, severe mental illness, or a condition that would make VR unsafe.
  • You have good enough vision, balance, and thinking skills to safely use VR.
  • You are not pregnant and have no unstable medical problems like uncontrolled heart or lung disease.
