- You are pregnant with one baby (not twins or more).
- You are getting or expect to get ceftriaxone or benzathine penicillin G as part of your regular care.
- You plan to stay in the study area during pregnancy and for at least 30 days after giving birth.

- You do not need dialysis or intensive care, and your kidney function is not severely reduced.
