  • You have rectal cancer that is a type called adenocarcinoma.
  • You haven't had treatment for this cancer before, unless you're in a special group (Cohort B) that has already had chemotherapy and radiation.
  • Your cancer has not spread to other parts of your body.
  • You are 18 years or older.
  • You are willing to sign a consent form and follow the study schedule.
