Ultrasound therapy for bone healing after jaw cyst surgery

This phase 3 trial tests whether low-intensity pulsed ultrasound (LIPUS) can help your jawbone heal better after a cyst is removed. You would use a small ultrasound device at home for 20 minutes each day for 10 days.

  • 18 years old or older
  • Had a cyst in your jaw removed with a surgery called enucleation and curettage
  • The cyst was confirmed as a jaw cyst by a lab test after surgery
  • Willing to use the ultrasound device for 10 days
  • No severe mental health condition that would make it hard to follow the treatment plan
  • No active infection at the time of treatment
  • No cardiac pacemaker
  • No current diagnosis of osteoporosis
