This study looks at how energy drinks affect your heart. It compares the effects of two different energy drinks on heart rate and other heart measures. You will have several short visits where you drink an energy drink and get your heart checked.

Who can take part

  • You are between 18 and 40 years old and in good general health.
  • You have no known heart conditions, such as an irregular heartbeat or history of heart attack.
  • You are not taking any daily medications or supplements (more than twice a week).
  • You do not smoke, vape, or use any nicotine or marijuana products (including within the past month).
  • You are willing to avoid caffeine and alcohol for 3 days before each study session.
  • You are able to drink up to 1 liter of fluid in 30 minutes and swallow a large capsule.
