This study tests a new type of catheter (a thin, flexible tube) called INGA to see if it safely starts labor in pregnant women. If you are planning to have labor induced because your cervix is not yet ready, this trial compares the INGA catheter to the standard method.

Who can take part

  • You are between 18 and 56 years old and pregnant.
  • Your baby is due in at least 37 weeks or more.
  • You are carrying only one baby, and the baby is head-down (cephalic presentation).
  • Your cervix is unripe (Bishop score of 6 or less), meaning it is not yet soft or open enough to start labor on its own.
  • You have not had a previous C-section or any uterine scar.
  • You do not have active infections like HIV, hepatitis B, or C, and no vaginal or uterine infection.
