Who can take part
- You are 18 years or older
- You are scheduled for laparoscopic or robotic surgery at UPMC Shadyside Hospital
- You are expected to stay in the hospital for at least 2 days after surgery
- You can speak and read English well enough to give consent and fill out surveys on your own
- You do not have serious eye problems (like glaucoma or cataracts), major brain conditions (like stroke or dementia), bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, or have had your spleen removed
- You are not pregnant
