Who can take part

  • You have a type of esophageal cancer called adenocarcinoma that has spread to nearby lymph nodes or deeper layers but not to other organs.
  • You are expected to receive a chemotherapy regimen called FLOT, possibly with an immunotherapy drug called durvalumab.
  • You have a tumor stage defined as T1N+M0 or T2-T4aNanyM0.
  • You are 18 years or older.
  • You do not have a bleeding disorder or low platelet count.
  • You are able to have a tube placed through your mouth into your stomach for the procedure.
