Who can take part

  • You must have a type of kidney cancer called clear cell renal cell carcinoma.
  • Your cancer must be considered high-risk, such as a large or aggressive tumor that has not spread to other parts of the body.
  • You need to be a candidate for surgery to remove all visible cancer from your kidney.
  • You must be in good enough physical condition to have surgery and receive treatment, as measured by your daily activity level.
  • Your kidney, liver, and blood cell counts must be within certain healthy ranges.
  • You must not have received any prior cancer treatment for kidney cancer.
