This study looks at how people who had a moderate or severe traumatic brain injury at least 3 months ago walk and navigate in complex virtual environments. Participants will use virtual reality to test their movement strategies.

Who can take part

  • You are between 18 and 55 years old.
  • You had one moderate or severe traumatic brain injury (not a penetrating injury) at least 3 months ago.
  • You can walk at least 20 meters without help, at a speed of at least 0.8 meters per second.
  • You can stand and move around safely (timed up-and-go test under 16 seconds).
  • You can answer simple questions and give written consent.
  • You do not have uncontrolled epilepsy, severe vision problems, or other conditions affecting walking.
