Who can take part

  • You are scheduled for a planned video-assisted thoracoscopic surgery (VATS), a type of keyhole lung surgery
  • You are between 18 and 70 years old
  • You are in generally good health (ASA classification I to III)
  • Your body mass index (BMI) is under 35
  • You do not have bleeding problems, opioid dependence or allergy, allergy to local anesthetics, chronic pain, or severe kidney or liver disease
