  • You are between 21 and 60 years old.
  • You are scheduled for lumbar spine surgery under general anesthesia.
  • You do not have serious liver, kidney, or heart disease.
  • You do not have a bleeding or clotting disorder.
  • You are not pregnant or breastfeeding.
  • Your body mass index (BMI) is below 30.
