- Your child is between 18 months and 3 years old
- Your child weighed at least 3.3 pounds (1.5 kilograms) at birth
- Your child does not have major vision, hearing, or other serious health problems
- Your child has some delays in language or thinking skills, but not too severe
- You (the caregiver) are willing to take part in eight sessions at home
- You do not have moderate or severe symptoms of depression
