Iron chelator in dialysis fluid for sepsis-related kidney injury

  • You are 18 years or older
  • You are in the intensive care unit (ICU) with sepsis and acute kidney injury needing continuous dialysis
  • You meet the definition of sepsis (infection with organ problems) and stage 3 kidney injury
  • You have specific reasons for dialysis, like high potassium, severe acidosis, or fluid in the lungs not helped by other treatments
  • You or your legal representative can give informed consent, and you have health insurance
