New pacing method after TAVI for heart block
Part of Heart & circulation clinical trials.
This trial compares a newer pacing technique (left bundle branch area stimulation) with standard pacing in people who need a pacemaker after TAVI (a valve replacement procedure). It aims to see if the newer method works better for keeping the heart's rhythm stable.
Summary written for real people, not researchers, by Clin2.
Who can take part
- You have had a TAVI procedure for severe aortic valve disease within the last 3 months
- Your heart's pumping function is still strong (LVEF at 50% or more)
- Your doctor says you need a pacemaker because of a heart block (like complete block, certain second-degree blocks, or other conduction problems)
- You do not already have a pacemaker
- You agree to take part and sign a consent form

This study compares two pacemaker pacing strategies—left-sided “bundle branch area” pacing versus right-sided ventricular pacing. It aims to see which approach better prevents heart failure getting worse and reduces abnormal timing between heart chambers over time.
This study compares two types of pacemaker pacing methods in people with heart block and normal heart pumping function. It looks at how often short bursts of fast heart rhythm occur in the upper heart chambers, which may help improve long-term heart health.
This trial compares two pacing methods (LBBAP vs RVP) in people with heart block who need a pacemaker. It looks at whether one method reduces the chance of developing atrial fibrillation (a type of irregular heartbeat). To join, you must have a specific type of heart block, never had atrial fibrillation, and have a healthy pumping heart.
This trial looks at different ways to pace the heart (like left, right, or both sides) to see which works best for people who need a pacemaker. If you have a heart condition requiring a pacemaker, this study may help find the safest and most effective option for you.
This trial studies a newer pacing method (left bundle area pacing) versus the standard method (right ventricular apical pacing) in people who need a pacemaker for heart block. The goal is to see which approach works better and is safer.
This trial looks at a physiologic (more natural) heart pacing approach to prevent weakening of the heart’s main pumping chamber after TAVI. It enrolls people who recently had TAVI and now meet standard reasons for needing a permanent pacemaker.
