This trial tests whether imagining movements (called motor imagery) can help reduce pain, improve function, and help you sleep better if you have chronic low back pain. If you are eligible, you will practice these mental exercises and see if they make a difference.

Who can take part

  • You are 18 years or older.
  • You have had low back pain for at least 3 months with no clear cause (like a fracture or deformity).
  • You are able to imagine movements (tested with a short questionnaire).
  • You have not had back surgery, spinal deformity, or pain that shoots down your leg.
  • You are not pregnant and have no major vision or hearing problems.
