Who can take part

  • Your BMI must be between 24 and 35, and you must weigh more than 60 kg (men) or 50 kg (women).
  • Your weight should have stayed about the same (changed less than 5%) in the last 3 months.
  • You cannot have certain hormone-related conditions like Cushing's syndrome, thyroid problems, or a family history of certain thyroid cancers.
  • You must not have had a stroke, heart attack, heart failure, or serious heart rhythm problem in the past 6 months.
  • You cannot have serious stomach or bowel conditions, or have had major stomach surgery (except gallbladder or appendix removal).
  • Your blood sugar must be in the normal range (not in the diabetes range).
