Who can take part

  • You are between 18 and 75 years old.
  • You have kidney or upper ureter stones up to 2 cm wide, confirmed by CT scan.
  • You are scheduled for flexible ureteroscopy to break up the stones.
  • You have no signs of infection before surgery (no fever, chills, or recent urinary infection).
  • You have not taken antibiotics within 3 days (or certain long-acting ones within 7 days) before surgery.
  • You are able to give informed consent and follow the study plan.
