Who can take part
- You have gone through menopause.
- For the bone loss group: you have hip osteoporosis (a bone density score of -2.5 or lower at the hip).
- For the control group: you have normal bone density scores at both the hip and spine (better than -1).
- You are not currently taking any osteoporosis medication.
- You have no nerve or muscle conditions (like stroke, neuropathy, or myopathy).
- You do not have active pain in your legs from arthritis or joint disease.
- You do not have heart rhythm problems or other bone diseases.
- You are age 65 or younger.
