Who can take part
- You are between 18 and 60 years old.
- You are scheduled for elective arthroscopic shoulder surgery (a type of keyhole surgery) and will receive general anesthesia.
- Your overall health is classified as ASA 1, 2, or 3 (this means you are generally healthy or have mild to serious but controlled medical conditions).
- You do not have a bleeding disorder, nerve or muscle disease, or a history of substance abuse.
- You are not allergic to fentanyl or any other drugs in the study.
