Testing arpraziquantel for liver fluke in children

Who can take part

  • Your child is 6 or 7 years old (between 72 and 95 months).
  • You and your child agree to give two stool samples before and three to four weeks after treatment.
  • Your child will let a doctor examine them before taking the medicine.
  • Stool tests at the start show a liver fluke infection (Opisthorchis viverrini).
  • Your child has not taken any deworming medicine in the last 4 weeks.
  • Your child does not have a serious illness like severe anemia (very low red blood cells).
