  • You must be at least 18 years old.
  • You are having planned surgery that requires a breathing tube placed through your mouth.
  • Your surgery is not an emergency or urgent procedure.
  • You are not pregnant.
  • Your surgery does not involve your heart, head, neck, or upper spine, and you will not be placed on your side or stomach during the operation.
