- You are between 18 and 65 years old
- You are scheduled for gallbladder removal surgery (laparoscopic cholecystectomy)
- You are in good general health (classified as ASA I or II)
- You are not allergic to numbing medications (local anesthetics)
- You do not have a bleeding disorder and are not taking blood thinners
- You have no severe lung or heart disease, no chronic pain, and are not pregnant or breastfeeding
