Who can take part
- You are an English-speaking adult with a hernia or abdominal muscle separation that can be pushed back in (less than about 3 inches wide).
- You are not able or willing to have traditional hernia surgery (open, laparoscopic, or robotic).
- You are willing to try a new 30- to 60-minute procedure that uses imaging to guide a needle.
- You do not have a known allergy to local anesthetic, sedation, or the suture material used.
- Your hernia is not stuck (irreducible) and can be seen on an ultrasound or CT scan.
- You must be able to fit inside the CT scanner (size and weight limits apply) and have insurance or be willing to pay for the procedure.
