- You are 18 years or older
- You are in the hospital with a confirmed infection in your belly or lungs (called complicated intra-abdominal infection or hospital-acquired/ventilator-associated pneumonia)
- Your infection is caused by a bacteria that makes an enzyme (called MBL) that normally makes antibiotics not work
- You have been treated with the study drug combination (aztreonam and avibactam) for at least 24 hours
- You agree to take part in the study, or your legal representative can consent for you
