Who can take part

  • You must be between 18 and 70 years old.
  • You have chronic liver disease, with or without cirrhosis.
  • You are being admitted to the hospital on a non-elective (not planned) basis.
  • You may have had previous decompensation (sudden worsening) of your liver.
  • You cannot have liver cancer (HCC).
  • You cannot be pregnant or have had a liver transplant.
