Betaine vs. placebo for MASH (fatty liver disease)
Part of Digestive system, Hormones & metabolism clinical trials.
This trial tests if betaine, a natural substance found in foods like beets, can improve liver health in people with MASH (a type of fatty liver disease). It compares betaine to a placebo (a dummy pill) to see if it reduces liver fat and inflammation.
