Infants with congenital hypothyroidism and development
Part of Bones, joints & muscles, Genetic & congenital, Hormones & metabolism clinical trials.
This study looks at how babies with primary congenital hypothyroidism (low thyroid hormone from birth) grow and develop after being treated. It helps doctors understand if treatment helps them reach normal milestones.

This study looks at the long-term quality of life for people who were diagnosed with congenital hypothyroidism at birth and started treatment within the first month of life. It aims to understand how early treatment affects their health and well-being as they grow up.
This study looks at metabolic health in young children (ages 5 and up) who have permanent congenital hypothyroidism (a thyroid condition present from birth). The goal is to understand if these children have higher risks for conditions like obesity or diabetes, which may help doctors provide better care.
This study tests a more thorough screening for congenital hypothyroidism (a thyroid condition) in babies born very early. It aims to catch the condition sooner so treatment can start quickly.
This study uses advanced genetic testing to find the cause of permanent congenital hypothyroidism in children who have a thyroid gland in the normal position. It may help families understand why their child developed this condition.
This study compares two types of levothyroxine (a thyroid hormone medicine) to see which works better for newborns and children with congenital hypothyroidism (a condition where the thyroid gland doesn't work properly from birth). If your child was diagnosed early and lives in the Emilia-Romagna region of Italy, this trial may help find the best treatment.
This study uses safe ultrasound imaging to measure thyroid gland size in healthy newborns. The research helps doctors understand normal thyroid development and may improve early detection of thyroid problems.
