- You are 60 years or older
- You are Black or African American
- You have a scheduled surgery for cancer, heart problems, or bone/joint issues at Barnes-Jewish Hospital or Barnes-Jewish West County Hospital
- You have significant symptoms of depression or anxiety (scored 10 or higher on a screening test)
- You are able to understand and agree to participate
