Glutamine to prevent nerve damage from vincristine in children
Part of Cancer clinical trials.
This study tests if taking glutamine (a natural amino acid) can help prevent nerve damage caused by a chemotherapy drug called vincristine. It is for children and teens with certain cancers who are starting or continuing vincristine treatment.

This trial studies whether daily handheld vibration can lessen nerve damage symptoms in the hands after certain chemotherapy medicines. It may help reduce numbness, tingling, or pain from chemotherapy-related nerve problems.
This study tests whether shining light on the feet and legs can help reduce nerve damage caused by chemotherapy in people who had cancer as children. If you have ongoing numbness, tingling, or pain in your hands or feet from past chemo, this trial may offer a gentle, drug-free treatment.
This trial tests whether taking coenzyme Q10 (a natural substance) can help prevent nerve damage caused by the chemotherapy drug oxaliplatin in people with stage III colorectal cancer. If successful, it could reduce pain, numbness, or tingling during treatment.
This trial tests whether two common medications, memantine and rosuvastatin, can protect nerves during colorectal cancer treatment. If you are about to start chemotherapy with FOLFOX or XELOX, this study may help reduce nerve damage.
This trial tests if adding fenofibrate to standard treatment (VRd) can prevent nerve damage (peripheral neuropathy) caused by bortezomib in patients with newly diagnosed multiple myeloma. If you are starting VRd therapy, this study may help reduce pain or numbness from the chemotherapy.
This study tests if applying cold to hands and feet can help prevent or reduce nerve damage (peripheral neuropathy) caused by the chemotherapy drug vincristine in children and teens. It's for patients aged 7-18 who are newly diagnosed and getting their first round of treatment.
