Who can take part

  • You are male and between 40 and 80 years old.
  • You are scheduled for robotic-assisted prostate removal (Da Vinci Xi).
  • You are in generally good health (ASA physical status I to III).
  • You are not allergic to ropivacaine, tramadol, or magnesium.
  • You do not have a bleeding disorder or take blood thinners.
  • You are not addicted to alcohol or tolerant to opioids.
  • You can understand and complete a pain assessment scale.
