Who can take part

  • Your child must be between 3 and 12 years old.
  • The surgery is on the foot, ankle, or lower part of the leg, and your child will be asleep under general anesthesia.
  • Your child must be generally healthy (ASA classification I to III).
  • You and your child must be able to answer follow-up calls 1 week and 1 month after surgery.
  • Your child should not have allergies to the study medicines, nerve or muscle problems in the legs, or use strong pain medicines daily before surgery.
