This trial tests whether kettlebell training can help people with long-lasting shoulder pain caused by rotator cuff tendon problems or small tears. You would do kettlebell exercises and see if your pain and strength improve.

Who can take part

  • You have been doing sports (amateur or professional) for at least 3 years.
  • Your shoulder pain has lasted for 6 weeks or more.
  • Your shoulder pain is at least a 3 out of 10 on a pain scale.
  • Pain gets worse when you lift your arm or rotate it outward.
  • You have a rotator cuff tendon problem (tendinopathy) or a small tear (less than 1 cm).
  • You have not had shoulder surgery or a fracture, and you do not have frozen shoulder.
