Who can take part
- You are 18 years or older.
- You have been diagnosed with a type of esophageal cancer called squamous cell carcinoma that cannot be surgically removed, has come back, or has spread to other parts of your body.
- You have not had prior treatment for advanced or metastatic disease, but if you had chemotherapy or radiation after surgery, it must be more than 6 months ago.
- You are in good daily health (ECOG score 0 or 1) and your organs (blood, heart, lungs, liver, kidneys) are working well.
- You have at least one tumor that can be measured on scans (RECIST 1.1), and you can provide a tissue sample for PD-L1 testing.
